Let’s grow more food in Iowa.
The Iowa Food System Coalition invites farmers, food system partners, state agencies, legislators, community leaders, and all Iowans to save the date for the fourth annual Iowa Local Food Summit.
This statewide gathering brings together people working across Iowa’s food system to learn from one another, build relationships, and advance practical solutions that strengthen local food production, farm viability, food access, public health, and rural communities.

About the Summit
Iowa’s food system is full of opportunity. Across the state, farmers are growing food for their communities, schools are purchasing more Iowa-grown products, food hubs are connecting producers with buyers, and local leaders are exploring new ways to support food access, economic development, and environmental stewardship.
The Iowa Local Food Summit is a place to connect those efforts.
Together, we’ll explore what it takes to grow more food in Iowa, strengthen markets for farmers, expand local food infrastructure, and build a food system that works better for all Iowans.
This event is open to anyone interested in Iowa’s food future, including:
