Iowa’s food system is full of opportunity. Across the state, farmers are growing food for their communities, schools are purchasing more Iowa-grown products, food hubs are connecting producers with buyers, and local leaders are exploring new ways to support food access, economic development, and environmental stewardship.

Held as part of the annual Iowa Farmers Union Convention, the 2026 Iowa Local Food Summit is a place to connect those efforts.

Together, we’ll explore what it takes to grow more food in Iowa, strengthen markets for farmers, expand local food infrastructure, and build a food system that works better for all Iowans.

This event is open to anyone interested in Iowa’s food future, including:
